Women's soccer drops home match to South Georgia State College

The Emory Oxford College women's soccer team suffered a 7 to 0 setback Wednesday at home versus the Hawks of South Georgia State College.

The Eagles (0-3) battled hard in the first half, contining the theme of giving up late 1st half goals. The Eagles went into halftime of this contest down 2 to 0.

"The defense worked hard and Maxime did a great job of keeping SGTC from scoring early, but eventually we succumb to their constant pressure," commented head coach Ashlynne Bass.

The Eagles were not able to generate much offense this game and two penalty kicks by the Hawks proved too much for the Eagles.

The Eagles next see action at home on Saturday, September 9th versus Andrew College.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00pm.
