Demorest, GA - After winnning the 2019 National Championship, the Emory Oxford women's tennis team returned to action for one last match and defeated Piedmont College 8-1. 

The Eagles secured two doubles win with Allison Park and June Woo winning second doubles 8-2. In third doubles, Jenna Shin and Hailey Kim won 8-1. 

In singles play, the Eagles won all six matches, winning four of them in straight sets. Cody Lu claimed first singles 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (10-8). Park won 7-6 (7-0), 6-1 in second singles. Frances Lee won 6-1, 6-2 to claim third singles. Woo defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-3 to win fourth singles. In fifth singles, Shin won 6-1, 6-0. In sixth singles, Kim won 7-6, 6-1, 10-4. 

"This was great for our women's team to get this victory. We had a long break after Nationals but that did not seem to affect our girls who continued to keep working," stated Head Coach Pernilla Hardin.
