Sumter, SC - The Emory Oxford women's tennis team was defeated on the road by Coastal Alabama Community College in a close 5-4 match.

For the Eagles, Lily Liu and Olha Los had a big impact, with both winning their doubles and singles matches. The freshmen teamed up and defeated their doubles opponents 9-7. In singles, Liu dominated and won 6-0, 6-0, while Los easily defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-1. Sophomore Kashin Mathur had a bit of a challenge in her match, but secured the win in the end by a score of 4-6, 6-2 (10-7).

On the men's side, Emory Oxford was defeated 8-1. Freshman Ben Xi had the lone win for the Eagles by the score of 6-4, 5-7 (10-8).

The Eagles will get ready for the 2024 NJCAA Division III Tennis National Championship, held from May 10-12 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
