Milledgeville, GA – The Emory Oxford men's and women's cross country team travel down to Milledgeville to run in the Georgia Military Brickyard Invitational. The men's team finished in 7th-place, while the women's team did not score due to not having enough runners.

In the men's 8k race, the Eagles had five runners, with freshman Aaron Li leading the way with a time of 29:28:52. Fellow freshmen Eli Heanue (30:39:91), Andrew Johnson (30:50:81), Alex Lucas (31:27:00), and Darren Ni (33:53:42) were the other runners for the Eagles.

On the women's side, the Eagles were short one runner from having a team score. In their 5k race, the Eagles had all four runners in the top-20. Freshman Sophia Lee led the way with a time of 21:01:85, good enough for a 9th-place finish. Fellow freshman Alex Bryant finished at 21:32:22. Classmates Sarah Davis and Emily Wilhelm also finished with sub-22 minute times.

"I am proud of the way my runners competed today," commented Head Coach Ella O'Kelley. "The field for each race was tough and competitive. This was also a great opportunity for our runners, as they got a first look at where our regionals and the national tournament will be held."

The Eagles will be back in action on October 2nd.
