Rome, GA - The Emory Oxford cross country teams raced in the Berry College Invitational. The women's team finished in fifth place while the men's team was 13th. This was the women's best finish of the year so far. 

In the women's 6k race, the Eagles were led by Julia Danko, who ran a 23:50.30, which was good enough for a top-10 finish. This was Danko's second race of the season. The other Eagles that finished the race were Alex Bryant (25.05.52), Joyce Zhang (25:32.60), Emily Wilhelm (25:58.04), Sarah Davis (26:21.55) and Urvi Vallapareddy (31:29.95). 

The men ran an 8k race and were led by Darren Ni, who ran a 29:37.04. Teammates Alex Lucas and Aaron Li finished with a time of 30:44.07 and 31:40.90. The other finishers were Andrew Johnson (31:52.15), Donovan Sheppard (32:33.56) and HanMin Kim (34:09.13). 

"We had a great showing from both of our teams," commented Coach Ella O'Kelley. "We now turn our focus to our conference championship."

The Eagles will race again on October 27th at the GCAA Conference Championship. The race will be at Council Farms Course in Milledgeville, GA.
