McCravy Leads Eagles To Home Victory

Oxford, GA - Freshman Shane McCravy had career-highs in points, rebounds, and assists to lead the Eagles to an 82-73 victory over Columbia International University JV. The Eagles have now won 5 of their last 6 games and improve to 8-8 for the year. 

McCravy led 3 Eagles in double figures with 37 points on 9-of-19 shooting and 17-of-18 from the free-throw line. McCravy also had 16 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Eagles. This is McCravy's 8th double-double and 6th 30-point outing this year. Fellow freshman Arturo Varela scored 15 points and grabbed 8 boards, while classmate Jack Polzin scoered 12 points to round out the night for Oxford. 

The Eagles had the advantage at the free-throw line going 27-of-37 while the Rams only went 13-of-19. Oxford also held a 57 to 34 rebounding margin in this game. 

"This was another great team victory for us tonight and Shane led the way," commented Roderick Stubbs, Head Coach. 

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday (Jan. 18) as Central Carolina Community College come into town for the Eagles' third conference game of the year. Tipoff is at 3:00PM.
