History

Re-established in 1999 by Dean Murdy, Emory Oxford Athletics has shown tremendous success in a short period of time. Four varsity sports were introduced in 1999, women's soccer, men's basketball, women's tennis and men's tennis. In 2014, men's soccer transitioned from a club sport to varsity. In the fall of 2016, men's golf, women's golf, men's cross country and women's cross country were added, bringing the total to nine varsity sports. In 2024, competitve cheer was added as the 10th varsity sport. Emory Oxford Athletics is committed to excellence both on and off the field, and the proof is below.
