Pinehurst, NC -  The Emory Oxford men's basketball team suffered at 116-70 loss to the Flyers of Sandhills Community College. The Eagles drop to 9-10 for the season, including 1-3 in conference play. The No. 2-ranked Flyers improves to 20-2 including a perfect 4-0 record in the conference. 

The Eagles had two Eagles in double figures with freshman Jack Polzin scoring 28 points on 10-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-5 from three. Classmate Shane McCravy scored 20 points and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds. 

"We played a very good team in Sandhills today and they showed why they are one of the top teams in the nation," commented Roderick Stubbs, Head Coach. "We will group and look ahead to our next game."

The Eagles return to action on Wednesday (Jan. 29) against Bryan College Reserve Squad. Tip-off is set for 7:30PM.
