Oxford, GA – The Emory Oxford men's basketball faced off against the No. 1-ranked Flyers of Sandhills Community College in their final conference game of the season. The Eagles lost 105-57 and drop to 12-11 for the season and 2-4 in the conference. The Flyers improve to 25-2 including 5-0 in conference play. 

The Eagles had two players in double figures with freshman Arturo Varela scoring 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting. Classmate Shane McCravy scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his eleventh double-double of the season. 

"There is a reason why Sandhills are ranked number one in the nation right now," commented Head Coach Roderick Stubbs. "We will regroup and look to finish the regular season off strong later this week." 

The Eagles will return to action Thursday (Feb. 13) against Southern Crescent Technical College. The game will be held at Southern Crescent with a 7:00PM tip.
