Men's Tennis Defeats Morehouse College

Oxford, GA - On a cold Saturday afternoon, the Emory Oxford men's tennis team defeated Morehouse College 8-1. The Eagles improve to 4-3 for the season.

In doubles play, the Eagles picked up two wins with one coming from default. Sophomore Kevin Yan and freshman Ben Archer claimed a victory in second doubles winning 8-3. 

In singles play, the Eagles won all six matches including one default win. Sophomore Kavi Jain easily won first singles 6-0, 6-1. In second singles, Yan won 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Michael Ru won 6-1, 6-0 in third singles, while classmate Bryce Guenther won a three-set match 3-6, 6-1, 9-5 to claim fourth singles. To round out the day, fellow freshman Jeremy Cai won in fifth singles 6-2, 6-4. 

"In the cold weather, our team came up with a good win," commented Pernilla Hardin. 

The Eagles will return to action on Friday, March 6th against Gadsden State Community College. Matches begin at 4:00PM.
