Men's Tennis Defeats Coastal Alabama 7-2

Oxford, GA - The Emory Oxford men's tennis team won their final regular-season home match, defeating Coastal Alabama Community College - South, 7-2. The Eagles continue their win streak, extending it to six and improving their record to 6-3. 

The Eagles picked up two points in doubles play with wins on courts one and two. Freshman duo Jahaan Sachdeva and Zachary Ravel started things off with an 8-3 victory in second doubles. Sophomore Frank Lu and freshman Tyler Yamato-Chang earned a hard-fought 8-5 win to secure Emory Oxford's second point of the match. 

In the singles session, the Eagles won five out of the six matches, all coming in straight sets. Freshman Ryan Talano picked up a commanding 6-0, 6-0 win on court six. On court one, Ravel was victorious at 6-1, 6-2. The match-clinching point came from Lu, who ended up winning 6-2, 6-1 on court three. The Eagles picked up two more points on courts two and five with wins from Yamato-Chang (6-1, 6-4) and freshman Alexander Szymanski (6-4, 7-5). 

The Eagles will have one final regular-season match at LaGrange College as they play the Panthers on Saturday, April 23rd at 1:00 PM. They will be back in action at home during the national tournament, which will be held on Emory Oxford's campus from May 13-15.
