Men's Tennis Defeats LaGrange On the Road

The Oxford College of Emory University men's tennis team dominated the Panthers of LaGrange College on Friday afternoon down in LaGrange, GA. The Eagles went a perfect 9-0 over LaGrange to clinch their third win of the season. 

In doubles, the Eagles claimed all three matches, starting with a perfect 8-0 win on court three by sophomores Anders Orr and Mark Li. On court two, sophomores Ryan Talano and Oliver Catanzaro picked up an 8-1 win. Lastly, on court one, sophomores Arie Golubenko and Jahaan Sachdeva claimed a hard-fought match with a score of 8-6. 

The Eagles continued their dominance in singles, winning all their matches in straight sets. Sophomore Zach Ravel won on court one, 6-1, 6-1. Golubenko (6-2, 6-3) and Sachdeva (6-0, 6-2) each picked up their second win of the day on courts two and three. Catanzaro had a 6-1, 6-2 win on court three, while Talano (court five) and sophomore Alex Szymanski (court six) each had a 6-0, 6-0 victory. 

The Eagles will now look to defend their national title as they look ahead to the NJCAA National Championship starting on May 12. They will be hosting the tournament for the second-straight year.
