The Emory Oxford men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Albany, GA, to compete in the Willie Laster Invitational. The event had a mixture of Division I and Division II teams from the NCAA and NJCAA. 

Sophomore Joyce Zhang claimed the women's 5k race with a time of 20:26. This is the first time a runner has won an event this year. 

Only two runners on the men's side finished the race, both finishing in the top 10. Freshman Timothy Park finished in 6th place with a time of 28:46, while sophomore Alex Lucas was close behind (28:51) in 8th place.

Both teams will return to action next Saturday, October 15th, at the Berry Invitationals.
