Amanda Fischer begins her 14th year as the head athletic trainer of Oxford College of Emory University Athletic Department, overseeing the varsity and club sports.  She is responsible for providing care and coverage for all student-athletes in the program.  Focus is placed on the prevention, evaluation and recognition of athletic injuries. She also provides first aid and emergency care and coordinates the rehabilitation programs for all athletic injuries.

Amanda received a Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training from Georgia State University in 2007 and during that time, she was also a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Emory University's main campus.  She received her Bachelors of Professional Studies in Athletic Training from Capital University in 2005.

Amanda has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 2005 and is also a licensed athletic trainer in Georgia.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Amanda resides in Rutledge, Georgia with her husband Nick and two daughters Sidney and Brooklyn. When not at work, she loves watching her girls compete in softball tournaments and watching Steelers football.
