Andy Spruell graduated from Oxford College in 2005 and Emory University in 2007. He earned his master's degree in Sports Administration at Georgia State University in 2010. During his time at Oxford, Spruell was a member of the men's Basketball team that earned NJCAA Sweet Sixteen berth during 2004-05 season. After graduating, he was the Oxford assistant men's basketball coach from 2007-10 and 2013-16. In addition, Spruell was the assistant men's soccer coach from 2014-16.  

At Oxford, he is responsible for the oversight of daily operations within the Center for Healthful Living.
