The men's basketball team faced the Piedmont College Reserve Squad last night in a back and forth competition eventually losing 69 to 64.
The Eagles fell behind early by a 10-2 deficit and trailed 33 to 25 at intermission.
The rest of the game was a back and forth affair and Oxford actually won the second half 39 to 36 but just could not overcome their poor shooting from the field. The Eagle just managed to hit 25 of 75 shots from the field for 33.3%
Oxford was led in scoring by Sean Wickham with 20 points and 8 rebounds.
The Eagles next hit the hardwood with an away game versus Reinhardt College on Thursday, January 7th.
Game time is set for 8:00pm.
