The Oxford College of Emory University men's basketball team bounced back with a win against Shooting 4 Greatness Academy (S4G) on Saturday afternoon in Pinehurst, NC. The Eagles are now 2-1 for the season.
Sophomore Nick Hardin led four Eagles in double figures with 17 points to go along with nine rebounds and four assists. Fellow second-year Isaac Snyder scored 14 points with five rebounds and four assists. Classmate Sean Osei contributed 11 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore KJ Walker added 10 points and a team-high three steals.
The Eagles only saw themselves trailing once the entire game, but after regaining the lead, they never looked back. Their largest lead came in the second half when they were up by 33 points, eventually winning 76-51.
Game Facts:
- The Eagles shot 43.1% (31-of-72) from the field while holding S4G to only 29.2% (19-of-65).
- Oxford dominated inside, outscoring S4G 40-28 and outrebounding them 52-40.
- The Eagles shared the ball very well, recording 21 assists on 31 made field goals.
Oxford will return home on Wednesday, Nov. 6, when they play Emmanuel College Reserve Squad at 7:00 pm.
