
Spartanburg, SC - The Emory Oxford men's and women's cross country teams competed at the University of South Carolina Upstate Invitational for the final race before regionals.
On the men's side, sophomore Oliver Campbell finished first for the Eagles with a time of 27:32.1. Sophomore Joseph Woloszyn finished second for Emory Oxford and ran 30:21.4. In third for the Eagles was sophomore Paul Goblirsch with a time of 34:58.6. Sophomore Fletcher Martin (35:18.3), first-year Sam Birkner (36:00.7) and sophomore Liam McDonald (36:31.2) also ran for Emory Oxford.
For the women, sophomore Riley Collis ran a time of 23:36.1, while classmate Lauren Grove ran a 25:08.5.
Next up for the Eagles is the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 25 in Huntsville, Alabama. Last season at regionals, the men's cross country team took first place.
