Women's soccer shuts out Andrew College 2-0

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford women's soccer team beat the visiting Andrew College 2-0 on Sophomore Day.

The Eagles kept on Andrew College's defense with 13 shots in the first half and 16 in the second. Emory Oxford was able to break through with 15 minutes left in the first half on an unassisted goal by first-year Vivian Zhu.

Less than three minutes into the second half, first-year Paloma Salazar added another goal for the Eagles. Salazar assisted on that goal.

Zhu led Emory Oxford with nine shots. Sophomore Helena Bergman had seven shots. 

Sophomore Margaux Davis did not face any shots on goal from the visitors. The team finished the regular season with a 5-6 record.

The Eagles next face Southern Union State Community College on the road in the GCAA semifinal on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Game time is at 7 p.m.
