
The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized sophomore Olha Los of the women’s tennis team as the March Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.
Los, from Siloam Springs, Arkansas, is a two-year member of the tennis team and captain this year. She was named an NJCAA All-American last year in singles and doubles.
Outside of tennis, Los keeps busy on campus. She is a two-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board and this year’s vice president. Los is a catalyst for Chem 150 and Chem 205 lab which involves prepping solutions for upcoming labs, and she is a teaching assistant for Chem 205. At the beginning of the fall semester, Los was an orientation leader, and she has spent this year as an athletic manager for athletics. Outside of Oxford, Los volunteers at Piedmont Newton Hospital.
She plans on majoring in psychology.
