Bryan Kato named new assistant athletic trainer

Oxford College of Emory University Athletic Director, Roderick Stubbs, has announced that Bryan Kato will be the next assistant athletic trainer.

Before joining Oxford College of Emory University, Kato worked as an outreach Athletic Trainer with OrthAtlanta. For the last two years, he worked as an athletic trainer with Newton High School, overseeing all sports medicine coverage for varsity, junior varsity, and freshman sports teams.

"I'm excited to join Emory Oxford," Kato said. "I can't wait to work with the students and work at the college level."

Kato also currently works with a semi-professional soccer team, Potros United FC, based in Cobb County. He has worked with several United Premier Soccer League teams to provide medical coverage for all home matches.

Kato currently lives in Lithonia, Georgia, and is a native of Thomasville, Georgia. He received his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Valdosta State University. Outside of work, Bryan enjoys playing video games and pick-up basketball.

"Bryan brings a wealth of experience in sports medicine," Stubbs said. "He has a genuine passion for helping athletes excel both on and off the field."
