Emory Oxford Wins 3rd Straight Despite Poor Shooting Night

Oxford, GA – Emory Oxford first-year JJ Halaby led a trio of double-figure scorers with 26 points in route to a 83-72 win against Brewton Parker Juco Team. With this win, the Eagles improve to 8-2 for the season and remain undefeated at home.

Halaby had a near perfect night from the free-throw line making 13 of 14 attempts. Sophomore captain Ryan Kwong scored 21 points inclduing 4 three-pointers. Freshman Bruno Perlicki had a career-high 11 points to round up the night for the Eagles.

The Eagles did not shoot well from the three-point arc only shooting 25%. However, the Eagles did shoot well from the free-throw line making 30 out of 35 free throws.

"We did not have a great shooting night but grinded it out to get a victory," stated Head Coach Roderick Stubbs.

The Eagles will return to action Thursday, November 29th against Covenant College JV. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
