
Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team dropped a close game to visiting New Rock Prep Academy Red 74-73.
The Eagles found themselves down by nine points midway through the first half but the team was able to come back and lead by one point, 30-29, at halftime.
Emory Oxford held the lead for most of the second half. With a minute and a half remaining, New Rock Prep was able to erase the six-point lead the Eagles had to win the game.
First-year Leo Etah led Emory Oxford with 19 points and five rebounds. First-years Ved Desai and Jason Kim also had double digit points for the Eagles. Desai had 13 points, while Kim had 10 points and five rebounds. The Eagles also did well at the free throw line, going 26-31.
Emory Oxford's next game is on the road against LaGrange College JV on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Game time is 7 p.m.
