Men's basketball defeated by Southern Crescent 76-66

Griffin, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team fell to Southern Crescent Technical College 76-66 on the road.

Southern Crescent led for most of the first half, and looked to lead at halftime before first-year Tyler Pavlik hit a three-pointer to tie the game with seconds left on the clock.

The Eagles kept the game close in the second but Southern Crescent pulled away midway through and held the lead until the end of the game.

First-year Leo Etah led Emory Oxford with 21 points. He also had nine rebounds. First-year Jason Kim had 17 points, five assists and five rebounds for the Eagles. Also scoring double digit points was first-year Samuel Chin with 11, with nine of those points coming from three-pointers. Chin also had eight rebounds.

The Eagles are now 5-6 this season.

Emory Oxford next plays on the road against Oglethorpe University JV on Monday, Jan. 6. Game time is 6 p.m.
