Cas Simmons is the head assistant coach of Emory Oxford's men's basketball team. He brings with him a vast background of coaching, recruiting, and player development.
While his player development covers an array of skill improvements for athletes, his dominant specialty is creating significant and increased ability to shooting. His training has been most instrumental in developing players to reach national rankings, especially in the area of 3-point shooting percentages. Along with his player development, Simmons also knows what it takes when it comes to scouting viable talent. He has experience working with a nationwide scouting agency, as a discoverer of talent, and a matchmaker for student-athletes and college coaches around the country.
His main goal coming to Emory Oxford is to help student-athletes reach their full potential in the classroom as well as on the court. His background as a youth director in the city of Chicago and an instructor for continuing education for the Chicago city colleges has given him in depth insight and understanding of the work and dedication it takes an athlete to develop, grow, and succeed as a student and as an athlete.
Simmons is the husband of Michelle and the father of their two sons, Stephen, an alumni student athlete of both Emory Oxford College and Emory University, and Jonathan, a collegiate developmental coach and basketball trainer. Both Stephen and Jonathan played collegiate basketball.
