Eagles Lose to the Bears of SW Miss. 5 to 1

The Emory Oxford men's soccer team lost 5 to 1 in Birmingham, AL to the Bears of Southwest Mississippi Community College in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles are now 0-2 on the season as the Bears improved to 2 and 0.

On the back of their second game in a row, the Eagles played tough and competed but succumb early to a 3 to 0 deficit in the first 20 minutes. The Eagles could not totally recover.

Denis Tahirovic scored the lone goal for the Eagles on a penalty kick.

The Eagles are on the road for their next contest on Friday, September 1st vs Southern Union State CC. Game time is set for 7pm.
