
Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's soccer team tied visiting Southern Union State Community College at 1.
Both teams played evenly throughout the first, with the half ending at a tie at 0.
With less than 10 minutes remaining, the Eagles broke the tie off of a header by sophomore Denis Tahirovic, scoring on the left side of the goalie. Freshman Zach Seneriz assisted on the goal.
However, the lead was short-lived. Southern Union State struck back four minutes later to tie the game at one.
Sophomore goalie Chris Do made seven saves, including a few difficult ones to keep Southern Union State from scoring.
Seneriz led Emory Oxford with three shots.
The Eagles are now 0-4-1 on the season. They next take on Miami Dade College on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at home.
