Men's cross country wins third straight GCAA championship

Huntsville, AL - For the third year in a row, the Emory Oxford men's cross country won the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Regional Championship. This year's race was held on Friday, Oct. 25 at John Hunt Cross Country Park.

Sophomore Oliver Campbell took the top spot with a time of 28:37.95. He was also named Runner of the Year for the GCAA. Sophomore Joseph Woloszyn finished third overall with a time of 30:56.54. 

Sophomores Paul Goblirsch (35:17.74), Fletcher Martin (36:14.20) and Liam McDonald (37:19.07) finished 10-12 and rounded out the top five for the Eagles. First-year Sam Birkner also ran for Emory Oxford.

Ella O'Kelley was named Coach of the Year.

Emory Oxford will next compete at nationals in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday, Nov. 9.
