Oxford women's golf competes at Snead State Fall Invitational

Gadsden, AL – The Emory Oxford women's golf team competed in the Snead State Fall Invitational Sept. 18 and 19, held at Twin Bridges Golf Club.

Freshman Stella Lee led the Eagles with a finish in the top 20. She shot a 91 in the first round and a 95 in the second, bringing her two-day total to 186. Classmate Maria Krotov improved her second-round score by 11 strokes in her first collegiate match. Her first-round score was 103 while she shot a 92 on the final day.

Sophomores Purvi Aiyer and Callie Goins also competed in the tournament for Emory Oxford, posting two-day totals of 204 and 211, respectively.

"This was a good first tournament for us to play in," said new head coach Brian Cheek. "Our new players did well, and the team will continue to improve heading into the next tournament."

The women will continue their fall season in tournaments at a later date.
