Women's soccer shuts out Central Georgia Tech

Warner Robbins, Ga. - The Emory Oxford women's soccer game played a close 1-0 game against Central Georgia Technical College.

First-year Paloma Salazar had the lone goal of the game, which came with less than a minute remaining in the first half.

The Eagles controlled most of the first half and had 11 shots before one went in to end the tie.

Salazar and classmate Vivian Zhu led Emory Oxford with four shots each.

Sophomore goalie Margaux Davis made seven saves for her first shut out of the season.

The Eagles are now 3-4 and sit in third place in the conference.

Emory Oxford next plays on the road against Andrew College on Sunday, Oct. 6. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
