Women's soccer ties Gordon State at 2

Barnesville, Ga. - The Emory Oxford women's soccer team tied a tough Gordon State College on the road 2-2, after previously losing to the college 6-1 earlier in the season.

Sophomore co-captain Claudia Fodor scored the first goal of the game with five minutes remaining in the first half to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead. Early in the second, Gordon State scored to tie the score.

Sophomore co-captain Vivian Zhu put the visitors on top 2-1 midway through the second half. Emory Oxford was able to hang on until the very end of the game when Gordon State scored with seconds left to tie the game once again.

Sophomore Chloe Elton led the team with four shots. Sophomore Renie Harris made an impressive 16 saves in goal.

The Eagles will next face Andrew College on Sophomore Day, Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m.
