
Huntsville, AL - The Emory Oxford women's cross country team competed at the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association regionals on Friday, Oct. 25 at John Hunt Cross Country Park.
With only four runners, the women did not have a team score, but runners that participated did well for the Eagles. Three finished in the top 10. Sophomore Ania Ting finished third in the Region 17/23 race with a time of 22:35.98. Ting was named Runner of the Year for the GCAA. She finished first out of all of the GCAA runners.
Sophomores Peri Rhoads and Riley Collis finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Rhoads had a time of 24:13.86, while Collis ran a time of 24:20.71.
The fourth runner for Emory Oxford was sophomore Lauren Grove, who had a time of 26:04.46.
Next for the Eagles is nationals in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday, Nov. 9.
